accuteque is an Australian Small to Medium Enterprise (SME) Professional Services organisation. We offer independent, tailored Business Analysis and Testing services to both large and small organisations to provide assurance when delivering new software or systems.  The business was formed by entrepreneur, Caroline Patton, as a result of establishing a testing Centre of Excellence in the UK in 1999 for a large Consulting Company for their European Operations.  On her return to Australia in 2003, Caroline identified a niche in the Market place for provision of Professional Testing Services to small/medium organizations.  Caroline established pca and the company peaked at 20 Professionals with both a Project management/PMO stream and a Business Analysis/Testing stream.   The company was rebranded in 2007 as accuteque with the sole focus on Quality Assurance – Business Analysis & Testing.

As the founder of accuteque, Caroline is passionate about Quality and providing Clients with a positive experience when it comes to testing.  She has 18 years professional experience in IT, specialising in Testing.  She is a highly competent and successful IT Professional with experience across a variety of industries including Financial Services, Funds Management, Mortgage, Banking, Insurance, Superannuation, Airline, Petroleum, Retail and Telecommunications.

Caroline’s drive and energy is contagious and her determination to succeed is evident in the success of accuteque.  Caroline started her life as a junior clerk and over the last 18 years she has worked her way up the corporate ladder, working for a number of Blue Chip organisations as a Junior Administrator, Business Analyst, Test Analyst, Test Manager, Project Manager and Program Manager, prior to taking on the challenge of running her own business. 

Caroline champions Women in Business, especially those in IT. She offers flexibility in employment opportunities for women, particularly those returning to work from maternity leave. She believes that the importance of work/life balance paramount and this is evident in how she operates. This can be seen in Caroline’s 2 beautiful children, Emily 3 yrs & Connor 20 mths.  Ever innovative and bucking the norm, Caroline has the total support of her partner, Nicholas, who is a stay home Dad, taking care of the family affairs so that Caroline can focus on growing the Business.

Now the CEO of a successful small business with a regular yearly turnover in excess of $2 million and a team of 13 staff, Caroline is looking to pass on her experience and knowledge to more young ladies and women within the Industry.  She is a guest speaker at this year’s Go Girl! Go for IT! Program and is looking to encourage more young ladies into careers in IT. 

In addition to this, Caroline works with AMES (Adult Multicultural Education Services) assisting young migrants, looking to obtain experience in the Australian Business Industry, providing them with an insight into the Australian Working Culture and training in regards to Testing Best Practices.
